Campo and his family on their Communing with the Campbells TikTok & Instagram

Tell us a little about what you do and your background.

I was the founder of the production company and creative agency thecreative.co.uk, which I sold back in 2022 in order to travel around the world with my young family to investigate the pros and cons of intentional/communal living.

These days, I split my time pretty equally between fulfilling paid brand collaboration requests on our own social media channels and creating marketing collateral for brands through word of mouth.

I’ve recently set up a niche agency focused on content creation for brands that have just launched a product and would like to scale via influencer marketing.

What’s the best part of your working day?

Receiving a message of encouragement/support or thanks for a piece of content that we have created.

What was your breakthrough moment?

I’m not sure there’s been a breakthrough moment. I pride myself on consistency, and with consistency come little wins.

How do you plan your content?

I’m an awful planner. Note to self - get better at planning content. On the flip side, great content can often be about responding to a trend/news story in real time

Tell us one surprising thing about being an influencer.

I’m always amazed at how I can be in a conversation with someone and they reference a post or piece of content that I’ve made, and I would have had no idea that person would have seen the content that they’re referring to. No like, no comment, no engagement from them.

What that says to me is that you and I are much more influential than you might believe.

What’s next for Communing with the Campbells?

I’m in the process of building a little team to service the content creation/influencer marketing agency. That little team will also help our personal content.

I’m fascinated by the challenge all us parents have with our kids and social media. How do we help our kids to build a healthy relationship with what I think we all now know is a very dangerous drug. Our content will increasingly focus on this challenge because I think it’s a challenge that all of us face and can identify with.
